Italy-China Link Association

For many years, the Italy-China Link Association (ICLA) has devoted itself to reinforcing the Italy-China friendship. It has served for exchanges and cooperation between the two in politics, economy, and culture. Working in collaboration for mutual benefit and joint development between local governments of the countries, ICLA sets up seminars, forums, expos, exhibitions, and other events to deepen mutual understanding, build trust, and develop friendships. For this, In October 2017, Song Jingwu, vice president of the Chinese People’s Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries (CPAFFC), awarded Maria Moreni, president of ICLA, the “China-Italy Friendship Contribution Award.” Over the years, the Association has offered advice and recommended members to the UCLG ASPAC Committee on the Belt and Road Local Cooperation (BRLC) to help expand the latter’s “circle of friends.” By the end of 2023, 12 Italian cities and 3 Italian institutions joined BRLC. All member cities have taken action in various activities, such as the International E-commerce Training Workshop and the 2050 Conference Observation Activity.
