Guri

Guri (Korean: 구리시), originally part of Yangzhou City, is located in Gyeonggi-do of Republic of Korea. It has a time-honored history and is backed by the Acha Mountain; the life river for Seoul metropolitan area winds through here. The city boasts a brilliant civilization from the 500-year history by the Joseon Dynasty. Also, the fresh air and moderate temperature have together made the city a wonderful place for human habitation. There are still innumerable famous historic and cultural sites in Guri, which is represented by the noted East Nine Royal Tombs where a total of nine royal tombs of the Joseon Dynasty are located, and many large-scale Koguryo ruins near the Acha Mountain that are being restored.
