Catbalogan is a port city in Philippines and the capital of Western Samar Province, with a population of 103,000. Located in the mid-west of Samar Island and close to Samar Sea, it is no doubt a good harbor. There are regular ships from and to Manila and Cebu. Catbalogan is also the trade center of copra and Manila hemp. On 7 September 2019, it signed a letter of intent with Xi'an of China to establish and develop sister city relations.
